are the details for the upcoming WPCUA Summer Course below. You

The
WPCUA runs two training courses during the year (a) January &
February and (b) July & August. The course runs for six to
seven weeks on a Tuesday and Thursday from 7 – 9pm.
Our
next course will start on the 31st Jan 2012 with
exams on the 28th Feb 2012. Excluding the dates,
14th and 23rd Feb 2012. You will need to pass the examination
with a min of 80%. On successful completion of the course, you
will receive a Certificate of Attendance. However if you want
to join the WPCUA, you will have to stand in five (5) games for
our training department to assess your readiness to qualify as
an umpire. You will than receive your ‘C’ Certificate.
Thereafter the sky is the limit. This is all dependent on you
the individual and your commitment to our training programme going
forward. As an umpire your training never stops. You will be train
and assess on a monthly basis.
In
the WP, we pride ourselves as being the best-trained umpires in
the country.
The
cost is R280 and includes the Law Book and course material.
The
venue will be the South Club, Newlands Cricket Ground Campground
Road Newlands.
On
the 31st Jan 2012, the starting time will be 6:30pm for registration
purposes.
